✨  9:30-11:00am

✨  Meeting virtually over Zoom

Join us for our TAVA AGM & Preventing Conflict through Strengths-based Conversations and Coaching Workshop with our guest speaker Kamryn Marsh (they/them)! Kamryn will guide us through the strategic benefits of using a strengths-based lens in our interactions with others and how this can reduce the frequency of conflict in our lives overall. We will reflect on the relationship between personal stress management and managing escalation in others. This session is highly interactive and aims to have practical takeaways for participants. You wont want to miss this workshop; and and especially because it's our last one before the TAVA summer break!

Kamryn Marsh (they/them) is a consultant, leader, and trainer with over 18,000 hours of combined work and volunteer experience in non-profit front-line service delivery, program development, and governance. Kamryn is skilled in conflict de-escalation and building alliances amongst uncommon partners across different disciplines and ideologies. Kamryn has worked in Volunteer Management since 2008. Kamryn is an active volunteer and has volunteered as a Board member, campaigner, event planner, and has spearheaded strategic community initiatives. They have worked in consulting, strategic planning, community-based research, training, facilitation, and community programs. Kamryn currently works at KEYS in Kingston, ON where they facilitate mentoring opportunities for youth (age 16-30), with a special focus on single-arrival refugees. In their free time, Kamryn enjoys swimming, yoga, meditation, singing, and multi-day hikes.

After you register for this event, as part of your confirmation email, you will receive our workshop partner workbook which is reference material for the workshop. Our speaker is sending this in advance, when you register, because some adult learners might require access to materials beforehand in order to participate fully in the session. Our speaker also wants attendees to note that this presentation and workshop is highly interactive, so encourages you to please make sure you have what you need to support your participation in this training (i.e., breakfast, tea/coffee, proper computer and internet). This presentation is 1 hour with no breaks. Do what you need to be comfortable throughout.

✨  This is a virtual online workshop. Once you've registered, information on how to join the Zoom meeting will be sent in a reminder email a day prior to the workshop.
